Accounting & Compliance Coordinator (Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA, USA)

Contract Type, Hours, and Workplace:

  • We offer you an immediate full-time, office-based, permanent contract, with working hours from Monday to Friday.
  • You will have your workstation at our office in Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  • Run weekly reports for file auditing.
  • Send weekly SOA to customers and follow up on payments.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
  • Reconcile company credit cards for general expenses.
  • Coordinate with the accounts payable, receivable and operation department to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Manage company claims.
  • Manage freight broker agreements, COI, W-9.
  • Manage customer credit application and credit reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and financial requirements of company bonds and licenses.
  • Perform general office duties as well as other assignments from the Director of Accounting.

If you have:

  • 1 year experience in accounting (preferred).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Outlook, email.
  • Exceptional ability to execute multiple projects and assignments without error, with high attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and writing skills to be able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Willing to travel for company trainings.
